PLASMA PROTEINS
The Invisible Monastery of the Great Dao
Plasma proteins are monks of an invisible monastery
Each of them serves its own purpose, but its true nature is hidden from view, like a secret that cannot be explained, only experienced.
These are not merely molecules. They are characters in a silent drama, performed in the rivers of blood.
ALBUMINS
Albumins are the modest porters of the universe. They seem simple and ordinary, like travellers carrying luggage from one end of the universe to the other.
But their task is deeper than one might imagine: they maintain osmotic pressure and balance fluid between worlds - plasma and tissue. Without them, the body would either drown in its own fluids or dry out like a desert.
GLOBULINS
Globulins are no longer just monks, but warriors and diplomats. Among them are alpha, beta and gamma - three great castes.
But the most mysterious are gamma globulins. They are guardians of immunity, an invisible army that knows the enemy is always near. Their task is not to defeat chaos, but to balance it.
FIBRINOGEN
Fibrinogen is a master weaver. It spins webs when a wound opens, turning the chaos of bleeding into an ordered fibrin tissue.
Its fate is tragic, like that of any creator: it creates only to be destroyed. Its threads are a web holding life at the edge.
COMPLEMENT
And there is also complement - not the kind people pay one another, but the complement system. It is a hidden mechanism waiting for an enemy to cross the border.
Complement is a weapon activated only when peace encounters a threat.
Plasma proteins
And finally, there are small but important proteins, like wandering monks moving from place to place: hormones, enzymes and cytokines. They carry information, transmit signals and govern the body’s rhythms.
Plasma proteins are philosophy in motion
